KONA BLUE - Reverse Engineering The Philadelphia Experiment
The Pentagon declassified KONA BLUE on April 16, 2024, a 56-page report outlying a proposed Department of Homeland Security (DHS) program that would provide congressional oversight on UFO recovery and reverse engineering technology.
Prior to this, KONA BLUE was brought to the public's attention in the March 6 publication of the AARO "Report on the Historical Record of U.S. Government Involvement with Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) Volume I."
That report stated that KONA BLUE is linked with the DIA-managed AAWSAP/AATIP program. KONA BLUE was created after the DIA cancelled the AAWSAP/AATIP program in 2012.
Its supporters (Senator Harry Reid, et al) proposed KONA BLUE to restart the investigations into UAPs, reverse-engineering of recovered off-world spacecraft and the paranormal. In this way, the KONA BLUE objectives parallel those conducted by AAWSAP/AATIP.
KONA BLUE was seeking funding for upwards to $50 million through 2017. However, it was never activated. The prospective special access program (PSAP) was turned down on February 10, 2012.
With that being said, there is much to construe from the report as it stands. The report is chock full of verbiage that is of an anomalous nature. Items that those immersed in the subject are quite familiar with, including remote viewing, Bigelow Ranch (Skinwalker Ranch) in Utah, and reverse engineering of captured UFOs.
Like a Glitch in the Matrix, one item which caught my eye was an item about the transfer of matter "across dimensional/space-time barrier," and "de/re-materialization techniques."
One's thoughts, at least mine, upon reading this, went directly to the mysterious Philadelphia Experiment of UFO lore. Said experiment, according to former merchant mariner Carl M. Allen, culminated in an event which took place on 28 October 1943, wherein a U.S. Navy destroyer ship physically de-materialized whilst floating in the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Allen claimed to have witnessed the disappearance of the USS Eldridge while serving aboard the SS Andrew Furuseth. According to Allen, the Navy destroyer escort was rendered invisible, then teleported to Norfolk, Virginia for several minutes, then rematerialized back in Philadelphia.
The side effects suffered by some of the crew were unprecedented, including being "frozen" in place, intangibility and insanity. Even more bizarre is that some sailors re-materialized inside out or became physically fused to the bulkhead.
The mystery of this alleged top secret Navy experiment began back in 1955 when Carl M. Allen sent an anonymous package to the U.S. Office of Naval Research. The package contained a book, The Case for the UFO:Unidentified Flying Objects by UFO researcher Morris K. Jessup. The contents of the book dealt with flying saucer propulsion, alien races and other esoteric subject matter.
What's more is that the margins of the book's pages included extensive hand written notes by Allen and others, some of which expressed concern that Jessup's ideas were in danger of revealing too much to the public. These included levitation technology exhibited by UFOs based on unpublished theories by Albert Einstein as it related to his unified field theories.
In 1957, Jessup was called in to the Office of Naval Research to discuss the matter. They had the copy of Jessup's annotated book which Allen had previously sent them. The case was handled by two ONR officers, Captain Sidney Sherby and Commander George W. Hoover.
We're not sure of the details of Jessup's interactions with the ONR officers but, regardless, Jessup did try to publish more books on the subject of UFOs. Unfortunately, due to a series of unfortunate events, including the loss of his publisher, Jessup died by suicide in Florida on April 30, 1959.
What did Jessup know that was deemed too sensitive by the Navy? Some suggest that Jessup was investigating aspects of the unified field theory that dealt with gravity and electromagnetism, unified into a single field. Using powerful electrical generators to bend light via refraction, a physical object could be rendered invisible.
It was suggested that the USS Eldridge was fitted with the necessary equipment and testing began in the summer of 1943. Some of the claimed off-shoots of this experiment include the creation of stealth technology which renders radar invisibility.
In other permutations of this story, it has been claimed that the program was mirroring secret experiments being conducted at the time by Nazi's into anti-gravity technologies led by SS-Obergruppenführer Hans Kammler.
The Navy denies any knowledge of such a program. In response to query, on September, 1996, the ONR stated, "ONR has never conducted investigations on radar invisibility, either in 1943 or at any other time," and that "The Philadelphia Experiment" was a complete work of "science fiction."
The legend of The Philadelphia Experiment has grown in popular culture over the years, spawning numerous books and a major motion picture. As well, the subject has leap frogged over into an entire new conspiracy theory, deemed The Montauk Project, which has its own tangled web of intrigue and nefarious government doings.
To be sure, the KONA BLUE proposal was turned down by DHS for "lacking merit," having never recovered actual other-world craft. As the report states: “It is critical to note that no extraterrestrial craft or bodies were ever collected—this material was only assumed to exist by KONA BLUE advocates and its anticipated contract Performers.”
Nonetheless, said advocates of KONA BLUE - and we’re not talking about your typical tin-foiled hat types here, as they are top ranking members of the U.S. Senate - were convinced that the U.S. Government were hiding UAP technologies from them, the Congress and the American people. The whole purpose of KONA BLUE was to provide for congressional oversight of these top secret programs.
Not too surprising then that the DoD turned them down in these efforts. The government is nothing if not a complex network of compartmentalization. The question is, what were these Senators privy too? Could it be linked to the Philadelphia Experiment?
Whatever the case, they must have been suitably impressed to initiate the ambitious program. Unfortunately, the Philadelphia Experiment remains, like the proverbial skeleton in the closet, hidden behind a a wall of myth which nonetheless, has real world footprints.
